The document received via ESDS contains your personal data encoded in the document. Such data is the data identifying you and is used to verify validity of your signature;

The document may be received via the ESDS in the PDF format; it allows for a long-term availability of identification personal data for examination purposes. In addition, during a long period of time it is possible to assess validity of the used digital certificate at the moment of performing electronic signature.

The third party may receive the document via ESDS if the document signatory transfers the document ID and the pin-code to a third party;

The document received via ESDS is an original, which has legal power. Hard (printed) copy of the same document (if it is certified by the wet signature on paper) represents a copy of the document. In addition, a printed version of the document does not contain information about the electronic signature;

Registration is not required for using the ESDS. For that you need the ID and a pin-code of the electronic document;

User of ESDS may be any person or legal entity who performed an electronic signature in observance of ESDS business rules and/or any third party who is authorized to receive an electronic document and possesses the document ID and a pin-code.

Yes, the document received via ESDS has the same legal power as the hard copy;

The National Bank of Georgia defines the ESDS business model and, at the same time, it defines a minimal security threshold of the electronic signature, which shall apply to all electronic documents, receipt of which will be possible via ESDS;

ESDS is an electronic communication platform, which ensures fast and safe receipt of the document certified by an electronic signature. ESDS provides not only “readability” of the electronic document, but download of the original document;

Key ESDS function provides for direct and secure communication between the sender and the receiver of the electronic document so that any third party has no access to the electronic document in the process of communication between the sender and the receiver;
